My last oven (which was installed when the house was built 40 yrs ago) did not have any venting above or below, but it wasn’t a self cleaning oven. Also, my installation men scratched up the vent cover that goes below the oven, dropped the oven door, dented the corner of the door and scratched the fridge (which sits right beside the oven) just trying to get the oven door back on after having to take it off in order to install the vent!! Entirely complicated to remove and replace the door! They just could NOT get the latches in the right place to get the door back on. Was bad enough getting it off!

But it was well worth the wait. Once we got it, it is all I was looking for in an oven and has all the features that my old oven had. . I like the simplicity of the oven design and the simple controls are very easy to use and seems well built. It is a quiet oven.
