This is the 2nd Waste King disposal that we bought. The first one had to be replaced because some clever individual threw a piece of metal into the unit that stuck in one of the holes and made a horrendous noise every time anyone attempted to use it. We had the unit for a number of years & it worked perfectly until the metal event. We removed the old unit & put in the new unit without significant difficulty. It is working perfectly. It is a very reliable & efficient unit. We have no complaints. The price was the best we could find. As long as no one puts metal into the disposal, we expect that it will last for a very long time.
