Washers

With all of the choices of washers available to you here, how do you know what is right for you? Here are the most important factors for choosing a washer for your home.

The two main types of washers are top loaders and front loaders. Top loaders are generally smaller and lighter with a faster wash cycle. However, top loaders use more water than front loaders, and they are harder on your clothes. Front loaders are bigger and will save you money on detergent. They are usually more expensive; however, they are more energy efficient. Top loaders are usually better for studio apartments and living spaces with limited room. Front loaders are better for large households with more spacious floor plans.

The major features to look for: capacity, length of wash cycle, volume and energy efficiency. Premium features include internal heating, which will save you money on your heating bill; delay starts, a feature that sets your wash cycle while you sleep; and automatic water level, which will save you money on your water bill.
