In the 1981, the first conceptual drawings of Viking's ranges were created. Years later, these drawings set off a spark where quality appliances once found only in a restaurant kitchen, became available to the residential market. Start your culinary ventures with a variety of gas, electric, and dual fuel freestanding ranges.
As the width stretches from a standard 30" up to an expansive 60", more elements are featured – allowing for a multitude of delicious possibilities. Viking gas and dual fuel ranges can have up to a remarkable 8 burners with a VariSimmer™ setting for low and slow cooking techniques, along with Elevation™ burners across the front with 23,00 BTUs for scorching hot temperatures.
For those that prefer the smooth top of a flameless cooktop, Viking electric ranges feature QuickCook™ surface elements that reaches full power in 3 seconds. Some include an induction cooktop which feature MagneQuick™ induction power generators to rapidly heat compatible cookware in no time. Or, if you simply want the best of both worlds, exclusive ranges have a versatile cooking surface that includes gas burners, a griddle, and induction elements.
Cooking up a festive holiday dinner is no problem with primary oven capacities ranging from a serviceable 3.8 cu ft up to spacious 5.6 cu ft. All share a convection heating system with a ProFlow™ convection air baffle to ensure foods cook evenly. Get a nice char on juicy meats with the help of the Gourmet-Glo™ infrared broiler.
Some models have a double-oven that allow you to simultaneously prepare fragrant entrées in one cavity and decadent desserts in the other without flavors and odors intertwining. The Gentle Close™ door will softly close after loading dishes into the oven. Lessening the workload, many Viking freestanding ranges feature a self-cleaning mode that loosens soils and deposits, leaving only a pile of ash to sweep up afterwards.
Viking freestanding ranges are offered in various colors to match traditional and contemporary kitchen designs. The entry level 3 Series are offered in stainless steel, white, and black, while models from the Professional 5, Professional 7, and Tuscany Series also include blue, red, and slate finishes.
