Pros vs. Cons: Drawer Refrigerators
Very nice and excellent quality as a refrigerator. The unit I got was all stainless steel jacketed, and was covered with a protective plastic shield, which was very difficult to peel off. Probably took me an hour to get it off; but, the surface underneath was great. Upon hookup, I received an error (E2) and could not get it to clear. Called customer service and was told the controller unit has changed and the error no longer applies. They sent me an e-mail with instructions on how to reset the error, and that resolved the problem. I also told them that the "light" button on the control panel would not turn the light on or off. Their solution was to just use the green "rocker switch" on the bottom of the panel, to turn the light on and off. It works, but it is a "work-around" solution. I`m disappointed that for a $1,000+ refrigerator, something as simple as a push-button switch doesn`t work. Overall, the unit looks nice and is well-built. The refrigerator functions fine and keeps the temperature at the setting. The lighting for the unit is nice when it is on, just the issue of having to use a main controller power switch (1 of 2) to get it to function. Should note that the unit is fairly quiet and doesn`t seem to produce a great deal of heat during operation. Overall, I`m satisfied with the unit, but disappointed in the controller issues.
