The energy efficient design is achieved by partially powering the warming cabinet by the lower freezer: the heat generated by the compressor that would normally be wasted is instead put to use to help power the upper warming cabinet. The upper warming cabinet is designed to store blankets and towels under a temperature of up to 140F. The lower freezer operates frost-free with fan-forced cooling for best performance.
