Steam Washing Machines
As simple as it may seem, steam is one of the most powerful features a modern washing machine can have. There are three main things steam accomplishes that help your laundry get cleaner:
During the prewash phase, steam opens up clothing fabric so that they get more thoroughly soaked by the water, and also loosens grime and stain. During the wash phase, the steam heats-up the water and dissolves the detergent, making it more effective at getting into clothing. And during the rinse cycle, the steam once again loosens the clothing fibers to soften them and reduce wrinkles.
The heat of the steam also helps washers cross the 171°F threshold for sanitation, helping your washer eliminate 99% of germs and bacteria, including the ones that cause odors and allergies.
Steam washers are the perfect addition to your household if you often require a more intense clean for your laundry due to wear, are particularly sensitive to allergens, or would simply like to iron less.
