So far, I am very happy with this washer. I have had three other washers in the past 10 years, and none of them were durable. Two of my past washers were front loaders )both of which leaked(, and one was a top loader. All three had computers, and all three computers went haywire, causing the washers to stop functioning properly. I was under the impression that you could not even buy a new washer that did not have a computer in it, but I happened across a review expressing the same frustrations I have had with the new washers. The reviewer mentioned that they had finally purchased a Speed Queen AWN432S because it was an old-fashioned washer that was well-built and all the controls were mechanical )no computers(. I am so grateful that I found that review, because I finally think I have found a washer that should last for many years.

Pros: Heavy-duty construction, mechanical controls, stainless steel tub, very fast cycle time, seems relatively gentle on clothes for a top-loader, quiet and it is made in America!

Bought this Speedqueen washing machine after thoroughly reviewing the current market of choices. I was replacing a 2 year old Whirlpool machine that cost more to fix than what it was worth. I chose this machine because of the features, construction, warranty, and numerous reviews from other owners. First of all, this is an American made product. Some of the other features are a hot water cycle, (with real hot water), a full tub of water if I want, manual controls that I can restart or stop a cycle anytime, a lid that opens and closes at all times during the cycle, and an extra rinse feature. The included manufacture warranty is 3 year comprehensive with extended warranty for the stainless steel tub and the transmission. There are no bells or whistles with this machine but it does what it is supposed to do; get the clothes clean! One year later, I am happy to say that it is still working and doing a great job!

great ``old fashion`` washer. No computer , has a central agitator, i can control water level and no lid lock. EXACTLY was I was searching for , I LOVE this washing machine !!! Really gets my clothes clean!!
