Shuts off while using and horribly noisy

it was installed brand new and has always sounded horrible. sounds like its struggling to ramp up. additionally, its now shutting off when cooking anything more than 4 minutes. all lights go out. after about 15 minutes its lights up again. the little vent randomly pops out when you close the microwave door. sometimes it just pops out on its own.

Cheaply-made and unsafe

installers (samsung-provided) broke 1 mounting screw. the micro sporadically started cooking by itself until the samsung care-tech replaced a missing piece of metal in the top, door housing. this partially-fixed but the unit still comes on if the door is not forcefully closed. samsung replaced door & also the receiving latch w/sensor switches but this didn't help the same issues that persist. the under-unit light is incandescent and very dim. the exhaust fan is very loud on both speeds. currently, the micro won't re-mount above the range because the mounting screw-holes were destroyed by the amount of repairs made to make this safe. my family is very-disappointed especially since we had just purchased a new samsung fridge and love it. i was told to buy the same brand if you wanted your handles to match. bought all samsung. turns out handles on new fridge and range match but not this microwave. the microwave sits directly above the stove so the different handles really stand out to me. may not be a problem for many but bothers me. this microwave is very loud which is concerning. my final complaint is probably a minor one to most but we found it very annoying. the one feature we would use daily is not available on this model. miss the feature of a quick start (press a number from 1 to 5 and have the microwave run for that number of minutes) instead of pressing 2,0,0,start. may not seem like a big deal but after years of having that feature on numerous other microwaves, we miss the convenience.

this microwave replaced a 10 year old samsung that was starting to act up. the new one has all the same functions as the old one but the price has come down over the years. the most important thing to me in an otr microwave is the exhaust fan and this model is one of the strongest on the market.. not sure why it says fingerprint resistant - it is not. i have bad smudges on it. noisy. has unnecessary features but not important useful kitchen features. the grill in the middle is useless. you have to continuously remove it because you cannot use microwave for heating water in a glass. very heavy and installation was a nightmare.
