Room Air Conditioners
Room air conditioners help keep room temperatures cool during warmer weather by exhausting heat and humidity from the inside to the outdoors, then pushing cool air to the interior of a room. Appliances Connection carries a variety of AC units including window air conditioners, wall air conditioners, portable air conditioners, through the wall air conditioners, split systems air conditioners, and mini split air conditioners. Browse top brands such as Friedrich, Haier, LG, and many more to find a room air conditioner that's a perfect fit for your home.
Most window air conditioners have a fixed chassis and can easily be installed into the window opening of a room. Sizes range from a small 14" up to 27" in width, making them great for city apartments. Wall air conditioners can be mounted on the wall and have a similar design to window AC units. Some models have a versatile placement, allowing them to be installed through the window or wall to suit living spaces.
Split system air conditioners and mini split air conditioners require both an indoor unit and outdoor unit to deliver cooling temperatures. A condensing element (which is located outside) and an evaporative coil (located inside) make up a split system air conditioner. You'll be able to cool multiple rooms at separate comfortable temperatures with mini split air conditioner systems. With some mini split outdoor units capable of up to 8 zones, you'll be able to install up to 8 mini split indoor units for your home. In addition to cooling, most operate as a heating unit to keep rooms toasty during cold winter months.
If you prefer a more flexible cooling option, portable air conditioners placed on the floor, along with most having wheels on the bottom of the unit so they can easily be moved from one room to the other. These mobile AC units expel warm air and moisture to the outside using a window kit, which consists of a window slider and exhaust hose.
