Pending on the lighting, sometimes it looks dark brown and other times black. It is beautiful and sleek and there is plenty of room in the drawers and they are easy to open/close. Have had it about a year and no issues at all.

I have owned this dresser for about 4 years and it has been good but several of the drawers have broken. They use a cheap plastic guide on the underside of the drawer to guide it on a rail and keep the drawer from popping out. The "wings" on the drawer, like I said, cheap plastic and they break all the time. They replaced them the first time but now there is no store where I live so I can't get the parts. If it wasn't for this issue I would give it 5 stars. They should spend the extra $5 to put in better quality guides.

My boyfriend and I bought this entire bedroom set less than 3 years ago. The look is great but the quality is very poor. 50% of the drawers are broken off their hinges because of the cheap plastic pieces used to keep them on track and one drawer is sitting on the bedroom floor because the track has separated from the drawer. This started happening about 6 months of use. The drawer faces give the illusion that the unit is sturdy but the drawer walls are made out of thin pressed wood that warps and cracks. I expected much better quality with how expensive this set was.
