Good Washer, not so good smart appliance

Good capacity washer. Can easily wash a king size comforter. Lots of different cycles to choose from, maybe too many. The WiFi setup is a PITA. The app itself is slow and there is a long delay (close to an hour sometimes) between when the washer is done and when the app shows a notification. In addition the app sometimes show your dispenser being low, even though it is not. Make sure you follow the quick start recommendation of leaving your door open after a wash so that all the water there can dry out instead of becoming murky and smelly.

So fat this washer is superb! I had an early front load Kenmore model before and wow can I tell the difference in cleaning and efficiency. Amazing what a 15 year newer unit can do!

Good Dryer, not so good smart appliance

It`s a good dryer. Dries fast and almost wrinkle free with the steam option. I had to purchase both, the stacking kit and the side exhaust vent kit separately. If you`re going to do the side exhaust yourself and have small hands, you can do it all through the bottom holes rather than taking the entire dryer apart as per instructions. Since it`s stacked I had to also reverse the door, which was relatively painless. The stacking kit`s feet are rubber so make sure you don`t slide the dryer on them, otherwise you`ll destroy them. The WiFi setup was a PITA. Even afterwards the app itself has a big lag (sometime hours) between when the dryer is done and when it notifies you of that fact.

We recently bought a new home and wanted to upgrade to a newer set of laundry appliances. We stuck to Maytag because we liked our last pair but wanted to invest in a more advanced set. We love this dryer because it does it's primary function of drying clothes but it has way more options than our last dryer did. Another great appliance from Maytag!
