This beats the heck out of the heater I bought at home depot. Hey, I guess you pay for what you get?

This is how a commercial quality heater should work. It does a splendid job heating our patio and balcony. Really amazed with quality. Thanks.

My heaters were recently installed and I confess I was not prepared for how large they are - they are quite big and certainly make a statement on my patios. They mount with included hardware that cantilevers them out over the space and this is great (I had thought they would be closer in under the eave "shining" outward, but instead they are very much pushed out over the space and "shine" directly down. I live in San Francisco and in the summer and winter the winds are quite brisk. I have not had the occasion to fully fire them up and see if they will make a dent in the cold air blowing by, but my initial run shows they are quite capable of heating a space and it could be that they will actually be able to radiate that down to the area guests would stand (I stood under them and it was warm, but they struggled a bit against the wind). They come with two operating devices. One a remote (that takes some figuring out) and one that is much simpler as either on or off. They look impressive and should they prove able to warm the space well (one has more of an alcove area so it will do fine, the other is exposed to the win and will likely struggle - they don't blow air down it radiates down and that might be a problem). We will see...
