I was looking for a bookcase that I could use for storage and to display books and trinkets. This fits the bill. I love that there are little slots on the sides that give this book case a unique look. I am no pro at putting items together so I was a little apprehensive. I was able to build this within an hour and that was with my puppy distracting me. If you are looking for a nice, dark brown bookcase for storage or decor purposes, this is a great choice! Beautiful Piece

This is a beautiful piece once constructed. Assembly requires only a Phillips screw driver, that can be used to lightly tap the plastic arms for the adjustable shelves in, to get them to stay. Assembly instructions are diagram only, not written instructions, but it doesn't take an engineer's degree to assemble, an extra hand maybe needed by some, due to the piece being awkward to handle when putting two sides together. The only thing I disliked about this piece is one top arm wouldn't stay in place and would turn sideways. The metal clips would also turn and fall out when the bookshelf was turned up right, I think the drilled screw holes are to big, making this happen. This however didn't affect the bookshelves usability. Assembly transforms it into a beautiful rich mahogany wood bookshelf measuring 4'8.5" H x15.5: W x 14" D,, with three adjustable center shelves.
