I bought this washer/dryer about two month ago now and haven't regretted it one bit! After using this kind of machine, I have a hard time understanding why anyone would pay this kind of money for the conventional kind or even the conventional front load type. It barely using any electricity compared to conventional washer/dryers and saves a lot of space. This larger-sized model probably is a little bigger overall than any average single unit (washer or dryer), but then again, you don't need another unit to dry. The only potential downside is it's pretty heavy--two people are really needed to move it (although I did it solo). As for the washing and drying itself. Some of the negatives I read prior to getting it was that it takes a long time to do a load and that it doesn't dry fully. These are both not accurate from my experience. I'm doing a load right now that will take 1 hour 44 minutes to wash and dry. It's somewhat of a smaller load. My average load size--which is leaning on the large size--takes a little over two hours to wash and dry. It all depends on what you are washing and the size. It calculates the time for each load so it will be different. Now if you do extra rinses and extended drying, I could see it taking up to four hours, but for your average stuff, the two hour mark should do it. The longest load I have done to date took almost 3.5 hours and that was because it was a large load of a bed spread with an extra rinse and extended drying time. And by the way, I'm in the most humid climate I've ever lived! Once I get back to Montana, it should take no time to dry. It does a great job of cleaning things too. Now for the drying. Because it doesn't use a heating element and blows dry, hot air over the clothes in a separate unit, it will feel moist coming out (remember--if you read some of the description--it only uses a 110/120V outlet and doesn't have an exhaust line). It recycles the hot drying air and condenses the moisture in the air. I've found if I open the door after it finishes and let it vent for several minutes, it's pretty well dry to the touch coming out. Some clothes in the core of the load will still feel a little damp, but tossing everything on my bed will finish the job in moments. When I take something out--say a pair of pants--it feels slightly damp, but usually within a few seconds it feels dry. And because of the moisture in the drum that remains until you open it, it helps keep clothes from wrinkling as much. Also, being able to delay the start time by timer of 19 hours or less (in hour increments), you can time it so you're around to catch the end. I sometimes set it to start before I wake up so it will be finished by the time I do wake up or for when I come home. Very efficient any way you slice it! Oh, and very quite too. I can't see anyone not liking this combo unless you really just have problems with change/habit. I mean it even has an LED drum light you can turn on at any time! These are a standard in Europe for those that have a drying unit. If you live in a small place or one that doesn't have washer/dryer hook ups, a machine like this is for you! I recommend a smaller size if your space is limited (that is if you don't have washer/dryer hooks and don't have a lot of space to spare). ENJOY!

This is a very high quality and well built machine with great features. Just like other reviews have said, this machine is very convenient, in that you put your laundry in, set it, and forget it. It is ventless so it can go in places others can't, such as a closet. The only down side is the time it takes to complete the cycle, 3-4 hours, and also the clothes don't seem to be competely dry. I recommend this machine and would purchase it again if needed.

I have had it for about a week and my experience has been really good. Installation was fast and easy. It washes really well and the drying function I only used once, but is excellent.

The LG washer dryer combo is good if you have a small apartment and don't have access to 210 volt, gas and can't run a dryer vent.

Works really well and meets our requirements (no venting & 120 Volts). With reasonably sized loads the total time seems to be 2-3 hours all in. The clothes come out slightly damp but it is mainly steam and a flick and they are dry.

Outstanding product. Purchased for my daughter for a wedding/houswarming gift. Shipped right away and delivered in a week. It is very quiet and seems to wash and dry just fine if you keep the load size as directed by the owners manual. Washes a good size load but will only dry a half load in a reasonable time. Runs on 115V/60hz and there is no vent required. Awesome for limited space location. Would buy again and recommend to anyone with a small family. Max 3 people. Otherwise this machine would never sleep.

We've been using the washer/dryer almost non-stop since we received it. We were a little behind in our laundry. :-) We are impressed with how quiet it is during the wash cycle. The spin starts off with a little rumbling, but then smooths out as it picks up speed. We find the normal spin speed to be sufficient. I can't imagine how fast the 2 higher speeds are! they will dry very quickly. We particularly like the ease of use and the many wash and dry options. Highly recommended!

We got this machine because of space limitarions and little else. I knew someone who used the smaller model in a commercial kitchen (for aprons, towels) and was satisfied with it.What I didn't know was what a technological advance these type of machines are over top-loaders. They're also quiet and cheap to operate. $10 a year?!?!! Please!! They take a little while to learn to operate, but things go in dirty (I'm in construction) and come out clean and dry. I don't know how it works but it does. We've only had it a few weeks but it seems well built. We're real pleased.
