Ok. So, we bought a big beautiful house. They had a small, aging Whirlpool microwave installed with a trim kit. We had just bought this big LG microwave, so my wife more or less insisted that we get this trim. I instantly regretted it. I mean, you can kinda tell from the photos that this thing is very shoddy. In fact, the whole thing (including the tray!) is just sheet metal with sharp edges. The instructions are terrible, and you have to cut out your own templates to install it. I measured everything very, very precisely, but this thing scratched up the microwave and my beautiful cabinets terribly when it came to "pop" it into place.The kit includes two oversized screws for each corner and the holes are dead in the corner, so even after drilling pilot holes they split the cabinet at the edges. Like I said it`s just sheet metal, so none of it is straight or stays straight. Even after coaxing it as perfectly as possible, using shims, and attaching the fascade to the junky little tray, it`s neveraligned. One of the four corners won`t seat and it flush at the bottom of the microwave but not the top. So, after hours of painstaking work, you`re left with trim that looks bad, scratches up everything, isn`t straight, and drags on the door--causing damage every time you use it. It seems painfully obvious that this product is an aftermarket afterthought. Whirlpool`s OEM kit, in contrast, features a very sturdy and straight tray, well-designed trim with boxed edges to avoid damage and add stregth, and an infinitely preferable appearance...plus it doesn`t destroy your expensive microwave and cabinets. To top it all off, the trim costs almost as much as a microwave--though it would be pretty worthless at any price. Do youself a favor and avoid this overpriced gargage like the plague!

I purchased this along with the MK2030NST stainless steel trim kit and installed it in a cabinet. It has a nice chime tune instead of an annoying loud beeping sound. I like that it has a Smart Inverter. I also like that the operating panel only requires a touch instead of a push. I tend to time things myself instead of depending on the Sensor cooking options, but that`s just me! After about 3 weeks of use, all in all, I really like this microwave.

Works great. Has a large turntable and well lit inside. Heats food very evenly.

Cons: Has hard plastic feet slides way too easily on the the counter top, needs rubber non-slip feet

I love the look of the microwave. It heats and defrosts well. I have had difficulty with the start button at times.

Pros: Heats and cooks evenly.

Cons: The start button can be tricky.

My First Experience With Appliances Connection

I found Appliances Connection online when I was looking for a microwave to replace the one I had that quit working. Your company had very good prices compared to many places I looked at. They were also willing to ship the product to me, which was important because I live in a mountain area that has few retail sources. Also, when I found the same product at a prominent retailer in a large city that was closest to me (11/2 hours from my home) in my home state (Washington), they were unwilling to ship it to me. The microwave from Appliances Connection arrived in very good shape, was packaged well to prevent damage, and I have been very satisfied with the product. My only suggestion would be that the shipper would notify the customer before they planned to deliver their item. This did not happen, and I have no idea how long the item was setting outside my front door, before I found it. When I read your delivery information online, I was under the impression that the shipper should have given me notification so I knew it`s arrival date and that I would have a chance to inspect the item before accepting the shipment, I guess its because UPS was used as a shipper. This did not happen, but fortunately the microwave appeared to be in good shape. I would use your company again.

The LG microwave I just bought was just what I was looking for. It is easy to use and clean. I like the fact that it has more wheels under the turntable so it won`t turn over and make a mess. It fits in the same place that my old one did. Another great product from LG.

We have a hole in the wall where our micro is installed. The first one was white, matching the cabinets. The second one modern silver, which really was ugly. When it crashed, I was determined to get the prettiest white microwave I could find. We usually use our charge account at Lowe`s, limiting our selection, but not this time. Found the prettiest one, this LG, and no one had it in stock, so I ordered from Appliance Connection. It did take a while, as I said No One had it in stock, but arrived safely by UPS, and is not only beautiful, it makes delightful little sing-song noises in place of the annoying buzzer. Heats the food very well. I love it. Love it!

Pros: It is so PRETTY. It Heats and cooks very well. Lovely sing-song noises instead of annoying buzzers.
