Wouldn't buy again

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The oven works as intended as far as heating, being an accurate temperature, and producing good baked goods and dishes. However, paying significantly more for a Smart Oven that doesn't work as any Smart Oven capacity is disappointing. The KitchenAid app is flawed at best, when you try to input the temperature that you would like the oven to be at, it has issues and you have to work around it. The skill that's needed for the Amazon Echo dot or better known as Alexa does not work. So the fact that this is a smart oven, but has none of the smart options ironed out to work on a regular basis is extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this and I would not buy it again. Because it is a smart oven, the panel on the oven is electronic, and in order to turn it on you have to first click home, then click what type of baking, then input the numbers, then hit start. So there's a lot of input that needs done that isn't very efficient from the main panel. I'm an efficient person, so I do not like all the steps it takes to Simply turn the oven on. I would Overlook that if I was able to tell my echo Dot or my phone to turn it on with ease, again those options aren't available as they don't work as intended. I've had the oven for 18 months, and this time frame the apps available have had more than enough time to be fixed.

Love to cook but not in this oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this oven for 2 years now and it did not work properly since day one. The electronic board and cooling fan was replaced. They also had to replace the hub connection on the back inside of the oven for the grill element. Lots of issues since day one. The oven is working currently. I hope that KitchenAid has corrected all these bugs or issues on this model by now. It should come with a longer warranty period of 3 years and not 1 year as my oven had. My oven kept turning off while baking a pizza on the red stone. We love the oven but it was a disappointment when it failed or rebooted while cooking in the oven.

This is not so much an indepth review, but more of a feature request. Oven appears to be working like an oven should. However, I would like the ability to choose a custom photo for the screen. I would also like the ability to review detailed info about these software versions/updates that are received. I plan on coming back once we've had some time to use the oven as it was just installed.

Does what it says on the carton

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've only had this installed for a week or so and am very impressed. Our previous KitchenAid oven (which we still have installed also) can take 40 minutes or more to get up to temperate, but this one can be ready to go in less than 5 minutes. The smart oven is extremely quiet, so much that I have to keep checking to see if it's actually on or not. The app notifications are nice too, as I have them sync'd with my Galaxy Watch and get notifications directly to my wrist when the oven is at temp, or finishes cooking etc... The probe works great, we used the default setting for lamb and it came out perfectly. I haven't yet used the attachments, as i'm still waiting on the steamer and stone to arrive, but I can't wait to test them out. We have a 2nd one of these on order to replace our old oven. It could use a 3rd shelf however, and some way of adding recipes via the application, or displaying those very recipes on your app instead of having to look at the tiny lcd screen to get the ingredients etc... Yummly doesn't appear to integrate with the KitchenAid app at all, so doesn't provide those features.
