    This was a very much needed purchase. I love warm weather but the humidity kills me, so I got this Haier dehumidifier and it works great without any issues. My favorite part are the two fan speeds. Sits well in my living room and I couldn`t be happier

    I purchased the dehumidifier for a new construction home that has concrete floors through the majority of the house. The house is in Arkansas, so you can see where the need for the unit is. The unit appears to work very well. It absorbs about about 20 pints of water daily running around 2 hours. I have one con for this product and that is the unit is somewhat loud while running. I have never purchased a dehumidifier before, so this may be normal for this product line.

    Had we written this review last year when we bought it it would have been 5 star. This year, one year later when we get it set up it fails to collect a drop of water. We did all the troubleshooting suggestions to no avail. Warranty has expired. Should have had more than one year of use. Reflects very poor on Haier, certainly not inclined to buy this brand again.

    Recommended Product:

    with the extreme and unusual humidity and temperatures for NNY this past August 2021, I found my larger unit was not able to maintain (hose extension was attached) my finished basement as I wanted. I knew an additional unit was required so I bought this small Haier unit. Once home this unit was put into action and quick results were provided (no hose extension). Within a day the moisture level was down to an acceptable % with both dehumidifiers working. I would highly recommend this unit. Noise was not bad but recognizable and it performed to my satisfaction. The price, as in anything, could be lower, but in comparison to others, it was competitive.

    I am giving up on Haier after buying three units which seem to run well for 2-3 summers (June - Aug) and then just don't function. My current 30 pint dehumidifier was turned on for it's 3rd (3 month) year of use ...the motor sounds fine .. the filter is clean and "No" water collects in the bucket. I called Haier and she could not figure out the problem after none of her hints helped.. I NEED A UNIT THAT HAS MORE THAN A TOTAL OF 9 (NINE) MONTHS OF USE BEFORE IT STOPS WORKING. .. !! So I will switch to another manufacturer this year !!

    So far I am happy with this product; it does the job. The unboxing instructions regarding letting the oil settle after opening could have been made more apparent. So far the only issue is that the sound level varies. Overall it's fine but sometimes it's louder. I'm satisfied with this product and hope that it holds up over time.
