The problem I had with this washer at first was my own fault as I didn't believe it could get clothes clean with a maximum of two tablespoons of detergent. Well, there's egg on my face (suds, as the case may be). Since then, I've used it as directed and everything works great.

This GE Profile washer isn't what I was admittedly looking for. I just wanted to replace my old one with the exact same model, but it appears to have been discontinued. I picked this one up based on the site's recommendation and some further research at third party sources. It works so much better than I expected.

My mother got this GE Profile Top Load washer and would not stop talking about it. A few months later, our washer went on the fritz and the repairs would've been almost as much as a new washer so we opted to replace it.
