Everything fit up well. However, I wish the panel would not have been so raised. In my opinion, Flat against the cabinet would have looked better.

DEspite it being plastic, it's easy to install and we had no trouble replaing our previous GE microwave with the new model. Just wish it was metal.

This trim kit is far from a good quality kit. GE seems to make a great microwave, however the trim kit you are forced to use does not meet the quality of the microwave it houses. The way the screws mount the face of the trim kit to your cabinet do not allow you to put the trim kit at any level as you need to leave a certain number of inches above and below it to properly attach the screws that screw into the face of your cabinet instead of the inside of the opening like most others. What this means is that if you ever decided to get a new microwave, trim kit, or move it, you have 4 holes in the front of your cabinet. The front face also showed up with the stainless piece starting to separate from the black plastic frame of the face. I will be contacting GE about this issue and hope that they make good with it.

After two attempts and by cutting our newly installed cabinets to fit this trim to make it look integrated; It left us a gap in the cabinet! this piece is poorly designed and definitely doesn't corporate well with cabinet! Unfortunately the only option we have is to send the whole cabinet piece to be made again which will cost more.
