Easy to install; works great. The layout is well-done---the most used burners in the front. Good heat-up and cool-down for an electric. The stainless accents are nice, but perhaps not worth the extra money. Easy to clean, except around the knobs. They are, theoretically, easy to remove and replace but in reality are stiff to get off. I guess the lesson is "don`t spill on the knobs." Overall, I`m happy with it and would buy again.

Pros: Fast heat up/cool down; easy to clean main surfaces.

When we remodeled 6years ago, we bought a smoothtop with touchpad controls. This lasted exactly 6 years before the touchpad went out. The touchpad cost more than a new cooktop. The GE we bought performs better than the previous model and has more features.
