Bought this washer in February 2018, control panel went our 9 months later which was covered under warrant. In April of this year I spent over $300 to get that replaced. Now the lid lock is out and the estimated repai is $ 227. I�ve had 3 major issues in 18 months, and put it out for recycle today and bought a new washing machine. If you want to pay $500 for a piece of crap washer that lasts only 18 months this is the model for you!

I went from a front loading Maytag to this model. Love that you can fill the drum will the lid open! It also has a center agitator which I was looking for. The only issue (and it's a small issue) is that it isn't as quiet as the front loaders, but honestly for the price and quality, I'm very happy!

We bought this clothes washer for the price and value. My wife has used it four times in the first two days of owning it. Reading the manual to get started, it seemed a bit difficult to get used to at first but now she is liking it pretty well. The washer is very quiet when operating, even while spinning! It is fast and efficient completing a load of regular wash in around 40 minutes or less.

They don't make 'em like they used to.

I should start by saying this machine replaced another GE washer originally purchased in 2001. The difference is like night and day. This machine is a High Efficiency (HE) washer, even though the HE logo is not on the front of the machine. Deceptive because all the other GE models I saw had the logo, and I was looking to avoid one of these HE machines. With my old washer, I was used to a full tub of water and a good strong wash. The entire cycle from first fill to final spin took less than 15 minutes. These HE machines have very long wash cycles, and use very little water. The agitator moves very slowly, and the shortest wash cycle is easily 45 minutes. I have to laugh...high efficiency using less water...but it runs the electricity about 4X as long! Also, the old machines gave the option of gentle or regular agitation + slow or fast spin combinations. This new one is all one speed. The final spins here are turbo fast speed, and run seemingly forever. The machine vibrates so violently I half expect to find it sitting in the next room when it's done! And so far that turbo spin has ripped one shirt and one towel on me. Ostensibly this is to spin out as much moisture as possible to allow for shorter dryer times. But, again, I have to ask: how efficient is shorter dryer time if the turbo washer spin is gonna shred the clothing?! No - I'm not happy with this new machine **as compared to the 2001 model**. I won't have to worry for long though - there's NO WAY this will last 16 years like the old one did. It's all tin, plastic, and planned obsolescence. The sad part is that this is the current standard of major appliances & first time washer buyers won't ever know what these machines USED TO be.

We bought this wash machine 3 weeks ago & couldn't be more happier. Some reviews said machine was very loud in the spin cycle. I found it to be just the opposite. If the machine is level you will not have this problem.
