Happy with my second Freezer

this is a great freezer. it is honestly totally plug and play with no fancy wifi enabled nonsense. I like to keep my appliances simple because then there is less chance of break downs and need for repair. Customer service was great getting it delivered before thanksgiving so I could cook and freeze many dishes. I chose this one because of the drawers. Most freezers I looked at of this size didn`t come with drawers or they came with baskets where items could fall out. I leave it in the garage so that when I pull in from a Costco trip, stuff can go directly into the second freezer. I like having the door lock in case any bad guys try to steal anything out of my freezer (Chicago crime is as bad as you see on the news!) I also like that this freezer`s warranty doesn`t go void if you put it in the garage. Be careful when researching a purchase because not all freezer brands carry the same warranty. the seal is super tight so sometime I feel like I have to really throw myself into it to open the freezer and it wiggles when that happens bc it`s not full. I suspect that if full I wouldn`t have the issue with it wiggling so much.

I am very pleased with this purchase. The upright freezer is spacious, quiet, easy to assemble, and energy effecient. We fit 150 lbs of buffalo meat in the bottom drawer!

The Good - A very nice piece of equipment. Modern and energy efficient, without adding a bunch on expensive addons. Quiet and good looking with well designed storage. The Bad - Due to the pandemic I had to wait approximately 2 months from order date till delivery. As I started looking, nobody local or online had freezers in stock. The folks at appliancesconnection.com have as good of a delivery date as anyone. The Pretty - My overall satisfaction. This is my first time ever making a large appliance purchase online. I am very satisfied. Took a couple weeks to get delivered from New York, but I knew this up front. The delivery company was efficient and in and out when they said they would. The freezer was unharmed and if I did not know better I would have thought I purchased at the local electronic store, just at a much better cost. Overall a very good purchase that I am very pleased with.

This GE freezer is a huge upgrade from my previous Frigidaire manual defrosting unit. The GE has great lighting and lots of storage, which makes this freezer easy to see what`s inside and to better organize items together. For its size, it has an amazing amount of storage capacity. Love the 2 pull out drawers as well. Door storage is a little narrower than other brands I looked at, but thats because they used that to make extra deep shelf space.
