The cooktop replaced a relatively older cooktop and so my wife looked forward to use the new cooktop. The first and MOST powerful feature is the way the the burner `force` the flame to curl up compared to out older cooktop. You may say. . . so what?? But this action produces a highly concentrated flame to the center of the pan/pot compared to the older cooktop where the flame was direct outward. This feature allows lower heat settings which is less natural gas being used. It`s a fantastic cooktop . . .

Excellent Cooktop at a Great Price. . .

This cooktop replaced a 20+ year old Jenn Air. The new Frigidaire is excellent unit and was easy to install. Simply remove the old unit, enlarge the opening, install the new gas line regulator and drop the new unit into the opening. My wife is extremely pleased with its operation. The burner technology has advanced: the flame `curls` upward, not outward, as the old unit did. This results in an extremely hot flame so that most of the heat goes directly to the pan. So you cook with lower heat more efficiently. It`s easy to clean with the sealed top. That feature makes my wife happy since spills and cleanups are done faster than it takes me to right this! Overall we are both pleased with this Frigidaire cooktop.
