    I purchased the Friedrich ZHP14DB portable ac this summer when I discovered that my husband and I could no longer lift noisy heavy window ac units. I couldn't be happier! It arrived in perfect condition within days of ordering from Appliances Connection. The unit is sleek, well made and took only minutes to set up. It cools quickly and quietly. There are 3 fan speeds and the noise level on all is very acceptable. The biggest plus is that it is self- evaporative - no condensate bucket or drain hose needed in the cooling mode. It rolls easily and will fit into the back of a closet for winter storage. This unit has a heater, but I doubt we will ever use it - just needed the BTU's for cooling.
