Disappointed!

Bought a house that had 4 Electrolux appliances in the kitchen only 4 years old. Everything worked great for the first few weeks. Then the dreaded E 15 on the range! Which after reading other reviews seems very common. Very frustrating that the whole thing shuts down. The light on the microwave clock and cooking instructions is so dim, its unreadable. now looking at very expensive repairs. Very disappointed with Electrolux- would not purchase or recommend.

Error E31 - Cooktop failure.

By IGotALameCooktop  from San Leandro, CA, United States  on April 2, 2017  Verified Owner

The Cooktop board shorted out on a prior model, used less than 4 years. A loud pop under the cooktop with a light flash, and an electronic burnt smell. It'll be best to get some kind of extended warranty for this. Not happy with their design.

avoid.

I have owned this range for 7 years. It has required 4 major repairs and has taken weeks to get the stove back up and running each time. When it works it is lovely, but it is not worth the aggravation when it goes down- because the entire unit shuts down.

Great Range

Living on Kauai we don't have natural gas but have propane. Friends have told us that with propane you can't get as hot as natural gas does. With the induction range it is hotter than natural gas and has the instant on and off like natural gas. Very happy with the range.

Induction stove

Moved a few months ago and chose an induction stove, and this is what turned up. Maybe should have looked around more before taking my chances. The controls are designed by engineers, not cooks, and they are not logical. No knobs, just buttons to push to determine which burner, which level. You have to keep reading the manual to make sense of the instructions. At first I tried scrambling eggs on the back burner that was the same size as the pan (as recommended). But it was such a reach, with the guide panel sticking out in front, that it was a problem, because you're stirring all the time. So I took one of my kids' advice and used the small frying pan on the large front burner. Sigh. Please consult cooks before designing such utensils! Please!

Electrolux

Cooks great and looks great

By Happy in Springfield  from Springfield, VA, United States  on December 18, 2016  Verified Owner

Recommended Product:

We bought this primarily because it was the only new range that fit into the existing cutout for our cabinets and countertop. It looks very stylish, with no protruding knobs and a high-tech lighting scheme. Most importantly, it cooks great. The "perfect turkey" feature lives up to its billing as our first Thanksgiving was a big success. The main convection oven cooks rapidly and evenly. The lower oven seems to run a bit hotter than advertised, and we are still getting used to how long it takes to brown dinner rolls. The induction cooktop is extremely quick in heating up, significantly faster than our previous electric cooktop.

Great when it worked...

Nice range, in theory. In practice, the induction electronics are unreliable, ridiculously expensive and a nightmare for the service techs. You should withdraw this model from the market.

LOVE THIS RANGE

WE bought this induction range over a month ago and it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. This induction range will boil water in 30 seconds as advertised. We had a gas range previously and this is even better. There are so many options for cooking and baking. We will never go back to gas or regular electric ranges. ELECTROLUX has the best ranges in the market place.
