Eemax is a company founded in 1988. It has a product line of tankless water heaters for commercial applications ranging in size from .5gpm to about 1.5gpm. The initial Eemax technology was patented and rapidly came out as the most flexible technology on the market.
The first product Eemax launched was the 9.5 kW Flow control, which was developed in 1989 as a simple on/off equipment for handwashing purposes. This patented standard design led to other units with adjustable flow, electronic thermostats, and up to 277 volt capacities, which bolster the market for electric tankless heaters by the early 1990s.
Eemax widened its market leadersip position during the 1990s by offering the new Eemax line of Series Two and Three water heaters, a broad range of hot water commercial applications that covered from 1.5 up to 5gpm.
Eemax introduced a line of residential tankless water heating products in 2000. Over the last decade, Eemax has established a leadership position in the residential market to augment its commercial business.
In 2003, the company further improved its position as the dominant manufacturer for commercial applications with the introduction of its patented Series Six & Twelve family of high capacity water heaters. These products are built for industrial and commercial usage. Furthermore, there are models within this product category specially designed for point-of-use emergency safety equipment purposes, including safety eye, face and shower systems.
The company was acquired by the private equity firm Riverside in 2008. This gives Eemax the potential to broaden its product breadth and hold on the marketplace.
In 2010, Eemax release the ASSE 1070 approved electric tankless water heater called Accumix. In 2012, company transferred to Waterbury CT. The new location was bigger in size compared to its previous location.
In 2013, the company merged with the retail manufacturer Ecosmart.
Eemax made a ground breaking new technology with their SpecAdvantage and SafeAdvantage product lines. The SpecAdvantage and the SafeAdvantage with PHD grant unlimited hot water on demand in various institutional, industrial, commercial and safety applications with unmatched reliability, speed, efficiency, and precision. It features 18 unique patent pending design claims that allows the use of electric tankless water heating in new hot water applications. The patent pending features, such as the thermo-optical heat guard, parabolic flow pattern, predictive control algorithm, and data logger are the components of the Parabolic Heat Design, which produces the finest performance in electric tankless water heating. The Parabolic Heat Design results in the most accurate temperature control, faster speed to temperature, and enhanced energy usage.
In 2014, Eemax introduces an all new residential line - the HomeAdvantage II. With its patented self-modulating technology, it only utilizes the required amount of energy to heat the water needed.
