The QX3 is a heavy, rugged well built appliance. It is definitely designed for slow and low cooking at lower temps but it is capable of grilling burgers and hotdogs too. The drip pan and smoker box are made of thick stainless. Cleanup is a breeze. Imagine having the convenience of an outdoor oven that can also smoke or steam your (sea)food...it`s a cool concept. I highly recommend this unit if you are into preparing health meals. Think about slow roasted chicken and veggies when considering this one.

Pros: Easy to maintain low temps for long periods. Easy to clean.

Cons: Keep a charcoal grill handy for searing steaks.

I wanted a quality grill with a smaller footprint and fold down shelves. The Q3X is a rugged, heavy, well built unit. The drip pan is super thick gauge stainless and very easy to clean. The built is smoker box is rugged tough as well. You'll immediately sense that this grill is built to last. I mounted it on the DC cart which is probably a little nicer than than the "Q package" cart. This grill excels at slow roasting chicken and veggies, smoking briskets or ribs, grilling fish and steaming crab legs, etc.. It will cook a steak quickly and easily - but you may want to whip out the old charcoal grill from time to time for your classic steak or sizzling fajita cookouts. I am extremely pleased with the Qrave! If you strive healthier cooking for a majority of your meals than you'll like the Q3 too!
