Just got a new griddle and don’t know what to make first? Appliances Connection can help you with that! Read on for some tasty breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes you can make on your griddle.

Breakfast Recipes

One of the first things you should definitely make on your griddle is the classic breakfast favorite: pancakes, otherwise known as griddle cakes.

Pancakes are great because you can create so many variations of them!

Here’s a quick and easy pancake recipe that you can make your own! (four servings)

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoon of white sugar
  • 1 cups of milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter
  • CUSTOMIZE: feel free to keep them plain, or add chocolate chips (my personal favorite), blueberries, banana chunks and walnuts, cinnamon and pecans, or your own favorite ingredients!

Let’s get cooking!

  1. Sift together all of your dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt and sugar).
  2. Pour the wet ingredients (milk, eggs, and melted butter) into the center of the sifted dry ingredients.
  3. If you’re adding any extra ingredients, throw them into the mix now!
  4. Mix everything together until it’s smooth.
  5. Lightly oil your griddle so the “griddle cakes” don’t stick and put it on at a medium high heat.
  6. Pour or scoop about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the griddle and brown the pancakes on both sides.
  7. Then, enjoy your delicious pancakes!

Spinach, Pepper & Cheese Omelet

Next up, a perfect omelet to start the day off right! (one serving)

You’ll need:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of washed and chopped spinach
  • 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 cup of crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt
  • Salt and pepper to taste–if you’d like a little kick of heat, chop in your favorite hot pepper or add a dash of ground red pepper

Let’s get cooking!

  1. Crack the two eggs in a bowl and whisk together until combined.
  2. Add salt and pepper (pepper is optional) and mix.
  3. Add yogurt and mix, again (NOTE: Don’t be too rough when you are whisking, the eggs should be frothy, they should just be combined).
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix just to coat them with the egg.
  5. Spray or lightly oil the griddle at a medium-low heat.
  6. Pour the mixture onto the griddle and let it cook. Once you see that the egg has been fully cooked, flip one side of the omelet over so that it is folded in half.
  7. Eat!

You can also fry up any of your favorite breakfast meats on your griddle if you’d like as well (like bacon or sausage).

Lunch & Dinner Recipes

A griddle isn’t just a great place to make breakfast. It’s perfect for lunch and dinner recipes too!

No matter where you’re from, a classic Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is sure to hit the spot. (one serving)

Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich

You can prepare all of the ingredients on your griddle surface so you don’t have to worry about having too many dishes to wash.

You’ll need:

  • 1 loaf or 2 roll of your favorite type of bread (Italian, French, hoagie or sub rolls)
  • 1/ pound of deli roast beef–the thinner the slice, the better the sandwich.
  • 1 white onion
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1/2 pond of deli provolone cheese (you can use your favorite cheese here if you don’t like provolone)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons worth of minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Let’s get cooking!

  1. Heat your griddle over a medium-high heat and brush it lightly with olive oil.
  2. Thinly slice the onion and bell pepper.
  3. Put the onion and pepper slices on the griddle to cook for about 6-8 minutes, stir them occasionally.
  4. Add the garlic, salt and pepper to the mix and cook for 30 seconds more.
  5. Move the veggie mixture off to the side of the griddle and put your meat down on that empty space on the heat.
  6. While the meat cooks, split your break in half and put it face-down on the griddle to toast.
  7. Flip the meat over continuosly and chop it into smaller pieces with a spatula until the meat is not longer pink.
  8. Then, mix the meat and vegetables together in a similar shape to your sandwich.
  9. Place the cheese on top and let it melt, then move it on to your bread.
  10. Bon appetit!

The ATE with Deli Slices (Avocado, Tomato, and Egg)

Another great lunch option is the classic Grilled Tomato and Egg Sandwich. This could also serve as a hearty breakfast food. (one serving)

You’ll need:

  • 1 thick tomato slice (this is for one serving so you won’t need the whole tomato)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 bread roll (if you’re making this for breakfast, use an English breakfast muffin instead of a roll. You could also leave it as an open-face sandwich)
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 2 slices of your favorite deli cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Let’s get cooking!

  1. Lightly oil your griddle and set it over medium-low heat.
  2. Crack an egg on the griddle.
  3. Prepare the egg sunny side up and add salt and/or pepper to taste.
  4. While the egg is cooking, cut your bread in half and place it face-down on the griddle to toast.
  5. Then, plate the bread, add the cheese and egg over top (the heat from the bread and the egg will melt the cheese).
  6. Place the tomato slice on the griddle to cook for two minutes on each side. While it cooks, cut your avocado into slices and place them on the other half of the bread.
  7. Once the tomato is done, place it on the bread. If you would like to remove the skin around the tomato, simply put a fork in it and pull up. The skin will be very easy to remove.
  8. Bring both halves of the sandwich together for a fantastic flavor experience!

Quesadillas

Quesadillas are another quick and and delicious lunch or dinner option that can be prepared on your griddle. ( 3 servings)

You’ll need:

  • 3 (6-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup of chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup of shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 can of drained, pitted black olives

Let’s get cooking!

  1. Slice the olives into 3-4 slices.
  2. Combine the cheeses, tomatoes and olives in one mixture in a bowl.
  3. Heat your griddle to a medium-high heat.
  4. Lightly brush one side of each tortilla with a little bit of olive oil, or butter, and place them on the griddle oil side down.
  5. Divide the mixture up evenly among the three tortillas and place the mixture on one side of the tortilla.
  6. Fold each tortilla in half and let them cook on both sides until the cheese has melted and the tortilla is crispy and has a nice golden color.
  7. Cut the quesadillas into 3-4 triangles (depending on how big you want each one to be) and enjoy!

If you’d rather keep it simple, you can just fill the quesadillas with cheese (as shown in the image).
