(Why don't we show the price?)

Retailers have the legal right to set their own prices, but some manufacturers place restrictions on how those prices may be communicated. Because our price on this item is lower than the manufacturer's “minimum advertised price,” the manufacturer does not allow us to show you our price until you place the item in your cart, or in some cases, proceeding to the final checkout stage. Taking these steps allows Appliances Connection to show you our price consistent with our goal of always offering you the lowest possible prices on the widest selection of products. You are not required to purchase the product to see our lowest price, simply just remove it from your cart.

Worst toilet ever

Barely flushes it's own water! Good luck flushing anything that might end up in the toilet... Pretty much every flush requires a second flush. What a waste of money and water!!!! The only reason I am on this site right now is to figure out how to repair it. Not quite 1 year old, and it keeps leaking and refilling! Tried to go to the local hardware store, but no, it has some proprietary valve so came here to try to find it. Time to rip this garbage out and buy a better toilet....

Efficient, but.....

It has been a year and half since I have installed this toilet, no problems at first. Now noticing occasional water running. Turns out the toilet is leaking, apparently about a gallon an hour or so. If you do that math, and the toilet it replaced as a 5 gallon/flush, flushed say 6 times/day a total of 30 gallon. this toilet will use 7.68 gallons/day and leak about 20 gallons so almost a even.

Bought a 1.6 a couple of years ago and love it, but was looking for something a little more energy efficient. This Champion 4 line really does the job, and the 1.28 works just as well as its older brother. Okay, it takes a bit of getting used to. A quick twist of the handle and liquids are a memory; but hold the thing down to effectively eject solids! Sounds like a jet taking off. My only complaints are with the hardware. The wax ring is a real cheapie (just as it was on the 1.6), and the hold-down bolts with plastic "nuts" are a joke. Spend a couple of bucks on real hardware. I used a Flowmaster no-wax toilet seal and it worked fine, along with their all-brass easy-snap install bolts. I know some people have a hard time connecting the tank to the bowl, and in this case "old school is the best school." I was having problems until I backed off both bolts until the tank was level, then snugged it down 1 turn at a time on each bolt until it just about made porcelain-to-porcelain contact. Perfect. Also, if you have an older toilet, be prepared to get a new water connector. The distance on mine (a 3.5 AS from the late-1990's) went from 9 to 14 inches. I ended up using a solid chrome-plated brass hook-up to avoid that curlicue braided look, which looks like a "homeowner's special" at least to me. I would have given this 5 stars if not for the cheap hardware. And, yes, mine came with no seat. My 1.6 came with an AS slow-close, which still works perfectly, but it feels kind of flimsy. I purchased a Bemis that is solid-feeling, and was also available in my Bone color.
