Use it for cooking, popping popcorn, reheating, softening ice cream & butter, and cooking kids items like hot dogs. Quick Defrost is great: EVENLY thawed 1 pound of frozen ground meat in under 4 minutes with push of 1 button. I like the quick release interior, very easy to clean & looks nice. The vent noise seems to be loudest when it automatically comes on while popping popcorn, but not bothersome. I`d recommend this microwave.
