Rated 4 out of 5 by from solid refrigerator that does the job well PROS: * water filter is up and out of the way, some fridges have filters that take up shelf space and can't be removed without pulling food out. This filter is easy to get to. * consistent temperature. * very quiet during regular operation. * alarm when door left open too long. * great looking fridge. CONS: * cannot access deli drawer without both door open. * ice machine function can get noisy. * lower freezer basket can block upper freezer shelf if items piled too high. * could use a little bit more space for milk/juice cartons. * french door gap fill can sometimes not close all the way if casually closed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whirlpool Refrigerator I wasn't completely sure I'd like the freezer on the bottom but now that I've had it for awhile I love it. Most of the space in the upper section is well planned and useful. The freezer with its separate drawer is a great feature, I can find anything easily and quickly and I was amazed at the amount of room I have in there. The double doors took some getting used to after having a typical upper/lower door fridge for so long but I love that too. There seems to be more storage space than my previous fridge and the ice/water dispensers on the front are wonderful. Really great product. No 'cons' on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with purchase. Moved into a rental and needed to provide a refigerator. Went to the appliance store and settled on the Whirlpool Gold, French door model. Unlike other refigerators this does not leak, the dispenser works correctly, and the ice makers makes plenty of ice. The unit runs quietly; the only noise is when the ice cubes dump into the bin and the water runs to refill the ice maker. The unit is so quiet the first few times the ice dumped the noise seemed loud, but now just a brief noice. Love the wide shelves in the French Door model, the storage drawers are deep enough to hold containers of lettuce, and the addjustable bottom door allows you to make it suit your own needs. Great purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Whirlpool Gold refrigerator has WOW features that I love!!!! I love my new Whirlpool Gold refrigerator. We remodeled our kitchen and I chose Whirlpool Gold for all of my appliances. This is a brand that I have confidence is and have never had any problems with anything that has that name on it. I have features that I couldn't live without now. The exterior ice and water feature is one that I find very useful and I am drinking more water. The humidity control really does keep the vegetables crisper. I love the fact that is it energy star and only costs a few dollars to operate. I would recommend this product to my friends and family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from whirlpool gold french door fridge i LOVE the look of the fridge...the freezer is excellent and fits a large amount, the fridge itself is a great design and we can fit a lot in it...However i LOATHE the ice dispenser...it doesnt matter what cup, glass, sippy cup etc i put under it, I end up with ice all over the floor when I try and get ice...it is seriously bad. So bad that my 3 and 1 yo children come running when they hear me use it as they KNOW that they need to pick up ice off the floor and throw it in the dogs water bowl...It is literally the worst ice dispenser i have ever .....EVER...... used!

The only problem i find is the ice maker delivery system.The ice comes out part chopped and part whole ice cubes when i select the whole ice cube button. And the ice shoot allows small ice pieces that fall out onto the floor/tray section.One feature i really like is turning off the ice maker, we leave for 3 months and i shut off the water supply to the house. Its so nice with just a touch of a button to disable it and start it up when I return..Over all its a great product .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet operation but "talkative" when making adjustments This refrigerator has many great features (adjustable glass shelves, easy to reach water filter replacement, wire shelf plus large bins in the freezer), and it operates quietly. It took a bit to get used to the noise it makes as it adjusts temperature, sort of a 3-second whirring noise. It doesn't bother me now that I know what it is, but the first time I heard it, I thought something was wrong. I do wish the ice making feature contained more space. We use a lot of ice in Florida, and I do have to keep a bag of ice in the freezer for when company comes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from the refrigerator design and features The new Whirlpool Gold refrigerator we recently purchased is amazing in so many levels. The most loved feature through out our family is the spacious French Door Design of the Refrigerator and the very large capacity of the Freezer area. The LED lighting system when u open the door as it goes from dim to bright is very nice and also having the alarm is such a wonderful touch on it seeing is how my girls love to leave the doors open. The touch panel on the door for controlling the unit is by far my favorite. To be able to adjust your temp. settings or go as far as shut the unit down is so nice to have without having to unplug. This product is must have in every home. If you don't have one then I suggest get one. You will not be disappointed!!

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.
How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covegrey.

Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. Who will perform the service on my product?

Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
When does my warranty start?
Depending on the type of coverage you own, an extended warranty begins at the conclusion of the shortest portion of the manufacturer’s warranty. If the manufacturer’s warranty was 90 day labor and 1 year parts, the extended warranty would begin on the 91st day and continue for the duration of the warranty period. All replacement, commercial and accidental plans begin on the date of purchase.
Why does my plan say "under $1000"?
Some plans carry a dollar value on them. This means that your product's purchase price, excluding tax, delivery and accessories is below the listed price on the contract. It's simply a classification based on the price of purchase of the product under warranty.
What does an accidental plan cover?
If you have added Accidental Coverage to your plan, this plan shall cover unintentional damages as a result of: impact, liquid damage or unintentional physical damage. Accidental Coverage does not cover intentional damages of any kind to the covered product or losses due to theft. Accidental Coverage does not cover willful damage, misuse, damage due to neglect, drops over 6 feet, fire damage or full immersion in water.

Accidental Coverage does not cover damage caused by the use of a product in a way the manufacturer never intended. Coverage for this plan shall begin 30 days after the date of purchase of the covered product.
