Rated 4 out of 5 by from This refrigerator is exactly what we were seeking in a French door design. The refrigerator is very stylish and has plenty of main refrigerator space. This comes at the expense of the freezer compartment. This is in comparison to a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator that this unit replaced. I notice my electric bill has gone down with this unit running. When operating the noise level of this unit is noticeable. The main refrigerator and freezer compartments work very well. Only down side that I see from a design perspective is that the ice maker takes up too much space and takes away from useable refrigerator space. Other than this one design feature and noise level, I am very satisfied with this product.

The unit was delivered and installed .In less than 24 hours we had problems with the upper part ( french door model) staying cool and maintaining a consistent temperature. We also found that when following the directions for the water dispenser that we had water leaking inside the unit. We also "love" the feature of when you press the water handle in the door it keeps dispensing water for roughly 5 seconds after you release the handle. MY BIGGEST CONCERN IS GOING TO BE HOW BOTH THE RETAILER WE PURCHASED THIS UNIT FROM AND WHIRLPOOL HANDLE THIS PROBLEM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything we were looking for at the best price My most favorite feature is the water in the door.unlike others I've used, the water comes out quickly and tastes great. We no longer buy water to make our coffee and I can always have a glass of cold water. Recycling has gone way down because I used to have plastic bottles of water to drink, which were always filling up the refrigerator. The large drawer is convenient when I make things that I don't want to get smushed! Set them in there and nothing goes on top of them. Our sales lady was excellent and saved us money by showing us this refrigerator over a more expensive competitor. We cannot find anything wrong about our purchase and have referred others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tomorrow's Refrigerator, Today! We love this unit, as it's bigger, better and quieter than our previous fridge. The temperature stays consistent and it performs like a trooper. The only thing I'm not thrilled with is the icemaking system. It does not make and store what anyone would consider a "supply" of ice you'd need for a gathering of say, 5 couples for dinner. Also, even when covering the ice chute with an ample tumbler, a flurry of ice chips ALWAYS fly out beyond the tumbler onto the floor. And if the kids go for ice, half goes into the glass and half onto the floor where they shatter and scatter. That's when you hear significant foul language from me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a terrific appliance! We purchased our Whirlpool Gold® ENERGY STAR® Qualified 26 cu. ft. French Door Bottom Mount Refrigerator to replace a 25 cu. ft. side by side model that was a terrific machine, but because it was side by side, not great storage space. This model has great storage, the shelves come out easily and can be easily wiped off. The freezer holds quite a bit and has a sliding basket as well which we find very handy for frozen vegetables and fruits. Our only complaint with it is the ice maker. It does not make ice as quickly as our older model and it gets stuck frequently in the throat of the dispenser. A small problem we can live with. Overall it was a terrific choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great refrigerator Was a little concerned at first about the stainless steel, but fingerprints wipe off easily. This is my second whirlpool french door. The previous one did not have the water/ice dispenser in the door so there was more door storage space. But this one was designed well and still makes better use of the door space than other models I looked at that have ice maker in the door. The ice maker does make some noise, but it's minimal. On my previous refrigerator there was an alarm bell warning you if the door was left open. On this one, there isn't an alarm. Or at least I haven't figured out how to set it. Overall, a great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Space! We bought our refrigerator almost a year ago and we have been pleased overall. There is a lot of space inside the refrigerator portion. It took a little time to figure out the best way to utilize the space inside the freezer portion, but we have found a way to make it work for our family of five. The only disappointment was the ice maker - it made ice extremely slowly and only put out about 12 cubes each time. Eventually, it stopped working. Whirlpool was extremely responsive when we contacted them about the problem, sent someone out, and completely replaced the ice maker unit. It now works as it should have to begin with!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I would not purchase another I am so disappointed in this refrigerator. When I started to put my items in the refrigerator I had no idea the brackets that hold the shelves where so big making things impossible to slide from one side to the other. The ice maker on this refrigerator runs out quickly (so stock up if you are having a party). Once in a while (more times than not) I have a very hard time getting the ice maker door closed. I have only had this refrigerator for 2 years and one of the doors make this horrible sound every time you open or close, like it wants to come off its hinges. The freezer part on this refrigerator is the only great thing.

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.
How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covegrey.
How do I buy an Extended Service Plan?

Can I renew my Consumer Priority Service extended service plan?
Yes, service plans are renewable and must be submitted 30 days prior to the original plans expiration. Please contact a sales representative to discuss your renewal options.
What should I do if I need extended service?
Our extended service providers offer an easy to use interactive form online which you may use to request that they initiate a claim on your product. Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. We believe that our claim initiation request process is the absolute best our industry has to offer. It is designed for simplicity and speed.
Who will perform the service on my product?
Our company works with over 11,000 authorized service professionals. Each technician is extensively trained by the respective manufacturers to provide service on your products. Authorized technicians must complete annual and bi-annual continued education exams in addition to being well versed in manufacturer supplied update bulletins to ensure their level of expertise is as current as the new products which come to market. Will I have to pay a deductible or any other "hidden costs"?
Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
When does my warranty start?
Depending on the type of coverage you own, an extended warranty begins at the conclusion of the shortest portion of the manufacturer’s warranty. If the manufacturer’s warranty was 90 day labor and 1 year parts, the extended warranty would begin on the 91st day and continue for the duration of the warranty period. All replacement, commercial and accidental plans begin on the date of purchase.
Why does my plan say "under $1000"?
Some plans carry a dollar value on them. This means that your product's purchase price, excluding tax, delivery and accessories is below the listed price on the contract. It's simply a classification based on the price of purchase of the product under warranty.
What does an accidental plan cover?
If you have added Accidental Coverage to your plan, this plan shall cover unintentional damages as a result of: impact, liquid damage or unintentional physical damage. Accidental Coverage does not cover intentional damages of any kind to the covered product or losses due to theft. Accidental Coverage does not cover willful damage, misuse, damage due to neglect, drops over 6 feet, fire damage or full immersion in water.

Accidental Coverage does not cover damage caused by the use of a product in a way the manufacturer never intended. Coverage for this plan shall begin 30 days after the date of purchase of the covered product.
