The Power Lung undercabinet hood from the Emerald Series with emerald lip styling is a 6" tall hood that features Power Lung Blower and Active Canopy technology, allowing the capture of cooking vapors from all areas of the canopy. The effective suction strength creates a sound level rating of 7.4 Sones at high speed, as well as featuring SensaSource, halogen light system and top vent or back venting support. This hood is also designed with professional lip for professional styling.

Power Lung Technology
Engineered with efficiency and quiet ventilation in mind, the Power Lung Blower provide superior performance to eliminate grease that baffle filters and mesh screens do not.

Emerald Series
Designed wih emerald, jewel-cut corners on the lip of the hood.

Captures Grease
Featuring the centrifugal filter chamber that actively remove grease from the air, the grease is captured and held in a collecting tray that can be removed and cleaned. Grease is the enemy and the Power Lung wins the battle.

Control Smoke
Active Canopy design ensures more interior surface to capture hot air and smoke to prevent it from exiting the hood canopy and back into the room.

Engineered with a canopy, incorporating a capture area for vapor holding capacity, the efficient design requires lower CFM of air removal.

This feature monitors cooking activity and when heat reaches an unacceptable level inside the hood, or a range fire occurs, the motor will automatically switch to full power to resolve the problem. The sensor will return the motor to the "Low" level setting or the hood may be manually turned off.

Pros: very effective ventilation
Cons: small toggle switches hard to locate by feel, have to look every time
"This is an excellent fan, works far better than any fan we have owned. It moves are like crazy. We have not found it overly noisy compared to our old fans. Not have we experienced an issue with the fan staying on once the pots are removed from the stove, but we have 28" between stovetop and fan. Sometimes it bumps up to high speed due to excess moisture (like when I am canning), but then it drops down when the pot is gone. It has nice clean lines. My only issue with the fan is minor, in that we have to actually bend down to find the toggles for lites and fan since they are hidden. Our fan was backordered and shipped directly from the manufacturer. When it arrived, all we did was open the box to make sure the right fan had been shipped. Had we looked more carefully, we`d have seen some discoloration on the front edge of the hood and also some places where the foam the food was packaged in had welded to the fan. We tried everything to clean it up without scratching but finally gave up. We went ahead and installed it as we didn`t want to wait another 5 weeks for a replacement. But I would caution purchasers to look over the fan for these issues very carefully as soon as you get it. But even with that issue, we are really happy with this fan." Will Recommend: Yes

Pros: highly effective ventilation, nice looking, overall great fan
Cons: check product carefully for flaws on the finish
"We are very happy with this white Ventahood fan which was backordered so there was a long wait. It does a far better job of sucking the air out than any fan we`ve had before. And we do not find it to be much noisier than our old fan on the high setting. We like the somewhat retro, simple look of the fan. But a warning that you should open your fan and carefully check the packaging when you get it. We only made sure it was white when it arrived and didn`t look more closely. Although it appeared to be well packaged, there were a couple places where the packing foam had permanently bonded with the fan hood and there were some oddly dirty areas that did not clean up. This was the fault of the manufacturer as that is where the fan was packaged. We installed it with those flaws, but if I had found them a couple weeks earlier, I would have sent it back and traded for one without those flaws. By the time we found them, we did not want to wait another 4 weeks for a replacement. Oh- some reviews mentioned the fan not turning off after they were done cooking pasta or other high humidity meals. We have not had that problem, tho our fan is installed 28 inches above the stove top. When we are canning (lots of steam for that), it stays at the high level till the steam clears out, but that`s fine with me." Will Recommend: Yes
