Installation of a Microwave. Installation can only be purchased with an In-Home or White Glove Delivery. Additional Charges May Apply. Due to changing regulations this service may not be available in all areas (Mainly rural and less populated areas). Parts must be purchased separately.

During Installation of Over The Range Microwave

• Installer disconnects duct (if necessary).
• Upon extraction of existing appliance, Installer determines, confers with customer and documents on the ICF charges necessary for additional labor, parts, or permits that are needed to proceed with the service, due to the conditions found after extraction. Installer has the customer initial the ICF.
• Installer is to accommodate services, if necessary and possible, to meet all plumbing, electric, and building codes and all manufacturers' installation specifications, but not to exceed authorized additional charge estimate provided to customer. This appliance must run on a dedicated circuit.
• Installer installs new appliance according to the manufacturer's specifications and to customer's satisfaction.
• OTR Plus only Installer Installs grounded, code approved receptacle to meet electric codes when replacing a range hood (power must exist at receptacle site).
• If grounded receptacle pre-exists, Installer tests for proper ground and ensures that service provides adequate amperage for new OTR.
• Installer mounts and secures support bracket for new OTR microwave as required by manufacturer's specifications.
• Installer checks and rotates, if necessary, exhaust fan, as required, for existing ventilation.
• Installer connects and seals to existing duct, if necessary.
• Installer plugs OTR's cord into receptacle and secures with hardware provided.
• Installer installs all accessory filters, covers, panels, and/or racks.
• Installer tests OTR by activating and monitoring:
  • Heating cell (using container filled with water)
  • Exhaust fan
  • All lights and remaining accessories
  • If OTR is mounted using ductless application, Installer will ensure accessory charcoal filter is properly installed.
• Installer corrects any defects in the installation (if applicable), and retests appliance.
• Installer double-checks all connections.
• Installer checks and verifies that all user functions are operational. When performing this check, Installer walks through a demo with the customer to show the customer basic operations of their new appliance. Installer sets the clock and presets, if applicable.

During Installation of Built-In Microwave W/Trim Kit (Trim Kit must be purchased by customer)

• Upon extraction of existing appliance, Installer determines, confers with customer and documents on the ICF charges necessary for additional labor, parts, or permits that are needed to proceed with the service, due to the conditions found after extraction. Installer has the customer initial the ICF.
• Installer is to accommodate services, if necessary and possible, to meet all plumbing, electric, and building codes and all manufacturers' installation specifications, but not to exceed authorized additional charge estimate provided to customer.
• Installer installs new appliance according to the manufacturer's specifications and to customer's satisfaction.
• If grounded receptacle pre-exists, Installer tests for proper ground and ensures service provides adequate amperage for new microwave.
• Installer installs and secures the bottom bracket and bottom duct for microwave as required by the manufacturer's specifications.
• Installer installs and secures the anti-tip bracket as required by the manufacturer's specifications.
• Installer connects and seals to existing duct, if necessary.
• Installer restores service to the circuit that the microwave is on.
• Installer plugs microwave's cord into receptacle and secures with hardware provided.
• Installer installs and secures the trim kit for the microwave as required by the manufacturer's specifications. This would include any trim kit that the customer buys at the time of microwave purchase.
• The trim kit uses air flow from the top, bottom and sides of the trim frame. Installer allows 1 inch (or manufacturer's specifications) clearance beyond the edge of the trim frame to provide proper air flow and to prevent damage to the microwave.
• Installer installs all accessory filters, covers, panels, and/or racks.
• Installer tests microwave by activating and monitoring:
  • Heating cell (using container filled with water)
  • All lights and remaining accessories
• Installer corrects any defects in the installation (if applicable), and retests appliance.
• Installer double-checks all connections.
• Installer checks and verifies that all user functions are operational. When performing this check, Installer walks through a demo with the customer to show the customer basic operations of their new appliance. Installer sets the clock and presets, if applicable.
