For more than seventy years, Serta has grown to be one of the most known and trusted mattress manufactures. Since most of us spend about one-third of our lives sleeping on a mattress, choosing one that is high quality and comfortable should be a priority.
Serta was established in 1931 when 13 mattress companies decided to join forces. After going through a few different company names, Serta was finally chosen. Serta's dedication to quality and customer service has allowed them to be one of the top growers in the industry.
The first mattress offered by Serta was the Perfect Sleeper. Today, the Perfect Sleeper is still selling, in fact, selling more than any other brand. The Perfect Sleeper mattresses are divided into three series. Series I, Series II, and Series III. The Series I mattress offers a fire blocker, advanced comfort quilt, comfort fibers; five zone convoluted foams, innerspring support, and a stable base foundation. The Series II mattress offers all of the features that Series I offer, however, Series II also offers dovetail construction foam encasement. This allows for better edge support. The Series III mattress goes even one step further. It offers extra innerspring coils for contouring body support.
In addition to the Perfect Sleeper, Serta also offers the Perfect Night mattress. Some of the features this mattress offers include fire blockers, advanced comfort quilt, free flex innerspring, and foam encasement. These are some of the same features in the Perfect Sleeper; however, one of the big differences between the Perfect Sleeper and the Perfect Night is the coil count. The Perfect Night mattress, in every size, offers more coil springs than the Perfect Sleeper.
So, what is the importance and value of some of these features? Fire blockers are a blend of natural and synthetic fibers that are used to help prevent fire from spreading. In fact, California has the strictest rules for fire resistance in the country and Serta mattresses that contain fire blockers meet all of their standards. The advanced comfort quilt is five zones of convoluted foam that designed to properly support and distribute your weight. This comfort is so you can enjoy a night of sleep that is free of tossing and turning. The foam encasement offered on some Serta mattresses is an interlocking foam system that extends to the edge of the mattresses. This allows for more support when sitting of the edge of the bed and helps prevent falling out of the bed. The free flex innerspring offers zones of single and double row coils. These are designed to allow the mattress to form to the shape of your body instead of your body forming to the shape of the mattress. The free flex is also very helpful in keeping a sleeper's movements from disturbing someone else in the bed.
