The #2553 three-way power reclining lift chair offers you the style and technology to compliment the mobility that you are seeking. This reclining lift chair is designed to accommodate any size individual from 5'2" or taller. The weight capacity is 375 lbs. This stylish chair features a button-tufted backrest and rolled armrests. There is a lifetime warranty on the frame and lift mechanism, and a four-year warranty on the remaining components.

Chair Frame:

  • All kiln dried hardwood, with all stress points of kiln dried oak
  • All joints are glued and connected with steel fasteners and feature a uni-construction of seat-back assembly that is independently lab tested for strength and durability
  • Gang nails are used at all other critical joints or stress points, and all bolts used are grade five
  • These bolts go entirely through the wood, with no lag screws used to secure the mechanism
  • The mechanism is secured by special locking T-nuts to ensure that it stays tight throughout the lifetime of the chair
  • All critical connection points for the reclining hardware, etc. have a double locking nut, which is nylon aircraft grade quality
  • All wood screws are the highest quality available
  • Corner blocks are used throughout the chair at all critical points for additional strength, and an extra rail is used across the top of the seat back to help keep the back straight and square

Springs:

  • Nine gauge Morley system, no sag springs
  • Tied together with tie wire to make every spring work together as a seat unit
  • Five seat springs correctly spaced on the spring rails by a special clip rail machine
  • Front seat rail on the frame is larger and thicker than in competitor's models, making the seat much stronger and durable
  • Retainer rail is secured by steel brads on top of the seat springs to ensure they do not come loose
  • Back springs that Med-Lift uses are 12 gauges, and these are also tied together with special tie wire for added comfort and endurance
  • To ensure that the seat springs do not cut into the bottom of the seat foam, a nova bond pad is used

Foam:

  • Medlift uses Acella-Flex foam, which has been developed by Leggett & Platt for use in better upholstered furniture
  • Acella-Flex foam is the closest foam to a perfect seating configuration in the industry, as it pushes back 1 lb. for every pound of weight exerted on it, making the chairs sit the same for a 90-lb. person or a 300-lb. person
  • Keeps 99.9% of its original shape and size, unlike most conventional foams, which shrink 10-15% in size over the first couple of years
  • Special break-in process before the foam is ever cut makes the foam feel good from the very first use
  • Super soft layer glued on top of the Acella-Flex, which gives a very nice feel to the seat without deterring from the strength and long life
  • Seat foam is pressure reducing
  • Fiber used in the back of the chair is dustless, odorless, non-allergenic, conjugated fiber, the best available in the marketplace
  • High quality fiber helps to ensure that the backs retain their original shape, as well as giving the benefit of added comfort

Lift Base:

  • Super Sag-less lift base is made in the USA
  • Most stable lift base in the upright lifted position on the market today

Fabric:

  • All fabrics used on Med-Lift products meet all the industry flammability requirements, and are tested yearly by an independent test lab to ensure that they continue to meet correct specifications
  • Before any upholstery is placed on the frame, no fabric comes in direct contact with wood
  • Any portion of the wood frame that might come in contact with fabric is first surrounded by an extra layer of foam or micro-foam to ensure long fabric life

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.
How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covegrey.

Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. Who will perform the service on my product?

Will I have to pay a deductible or any other "hidden costs"?
Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
When does my warranty start?
Depending on the type of coverage you own, an extended warranty begins at the conclusion of the shortest portion of the manufacturer’s warranty. If the manufacturer’s warranty was 90 day labor and 1 year parts, the extended warranty would begin on the 91st day and continue for the duration of the warranty period. All replacement, commercial and accidental plans begin on the date of purchase.
Why does my plan say "under $1000"?
Some plans carry a dollar value on them. This means that your product's purchase price, excluding tax, delivery and accessories is below the listed price on the contract. It's simply a classification based on the price of purchase of the product under warranty.
What does an accidental plan cover?
If you have added Accidental Coverage to your plan, this plan shall cover unintentional damages as a result of: impact, liquid damage or unintentional physical damage. Accidental Coverage does not cover intentional damages of any kind to the covered product or losses due to theft. Accidental Coverage does not cover willful damage, misuse, damage due to neglect, drops over 6 feet, fire damage or full immersion in water.

Accidental Coverage does not cover damage caused by the use of a product in a way the manufacturer never intended. Coverage for this plan shall begin 30 days after the date of purchase of the covered product.
