Whirlpool 31625 Re-useable Microfiber Cleaning Cloth $14.95

36" 5-Element Induction Cooktop, Performance Boost Function, Touch-activated Controls, Simmer Function, Control Lock. Bridge element combines two 7" elements, so you can cook with griddles, grills, or roasting pans.

Features:

Induction Technology
Induction technology generates heat directly in magnetic cookware, making it the heat source instead of a burner or element.
This provides precise, responsive heating and cooling similar to a gas cooktop with a smooth ceramic glass surface that allows for effortless cleanup.

5 Elements

12"/9" 4,800-/2,500-Watt (34.5K/18K BTU) Dual Zone Element

Four 7" 2,500-Watt (18K BTU) Elements

Two Bridge Elements
Bridge element combines two 7" elements, so you can cook with griddles, grills, or roasting pans.

Performance Boost Function On All Elements
Performance boost function allows the temperature to exceed the maximum setting to quickly achieve a rapid boil.

Simmer Function On All Elements
Simmer function automatically selects a low power level to help maintain a constant simmer.

Melt and Hold Function On All Elements
Melt and Hold function lets you set an element to low cooking power to melt and hold delicate ingredients without burning.

Touch-Activated Cooktop Controls with Power Slider
Touch-activated controls integrate seamlessly into the surface and include a slider for heat-level selection.

Pan Size Detection On All Elements
Pan size detection eliminates the guesswork of pan selection by sounding an alert if an unsuitable size is chosen.

Timer
The timer may be used to monitor time-sensitive cooking processes or as an extra kitchen timer.

12 Heat-Level Settings

"On" Indicator Light

Cooktop Power Off Function

Hot-Surface Indicators

Control Lock Function
Control lock function prevents accidental or unwanted use of the cooktop to make cleaning easier.

KitchenAid KICU569XSS Reviews & Ratings

Architect II Series KICU569XSS 36" 5-Element Induction Cooktop, Performance Boost Function, Touch-activated Controls, Simmer Function, Control Lock: Stainless Steel is rated 3.6154 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not like it at all This cook-top has two significant flaws. One is that you can not use small pans (it won't turn on if pan the wrong size). The pan must fit the burner, and four burners are the same size (none are small), so rather useless. I specifically bought it for melting chocolate, and you would have to do it in a large saucepan, not small. Second serious flaw: if any water gets on the control panel, it turns itself off. Steam created from cooking a chicken dinner with lid on turned off unit. Another time, moisture from lid, when taking it off and turning it sideways to check sauce, turned off stove. Any moisture! Plus, when lock feature on, this thing beeps at you constantly if anything placed on cook top. Cook top is so useless that I am taking it out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love induction and so far, so good This is the 4th induction cooktop I've had (2 while renting apartments in Europe and one in my earlier US home) and I would never go back to electric (throws out way too much heat and bakes gunk on cooktop) or gas (family member set his shirt on fire). It cooks very fast and has good control; I like that each element has a separate Off function. I bought three KA Architect appliances for my kitchen remodel and this is the only one I did not have to call service on during the initial 12 months - fingers crossed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous cooktop This is the first induction cooktop I have owned, so I was a little apprehensive. However, I love it! Of course I needed new pots and pans, but they are plentiful and easy to find. The cooking is super fast, and the bottom of the pans never get too hot and burn the contents. However, the cooking temp is even and the controls easy to use. Once the pans are removed, the cooktop cools extremely fast. The smooth surface is a snap to clean, but I don't have biol-overs with this cooktop!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One major design flaw I love the fact that this stove has five burners, but I am still not able to wrap my brain around the fact that there is no burner small enough to use a small saucepan! Since the burners will not stay on if the pan is not the right size...I consider this a real "con" in it's design! Unless I am missing something in the manual, I see no way around this issue and what would have otherwise been a stellar review, gets less that five stars for this reason alone!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy to operate I am happy with the design of the cooktop and the ease of the controls. The use of a slider type unit for regulating the heat for the "burners" is a great feature. The controls have a nice sensitivity so that you don't have to fight with trying to get them to turn off or on. The placement of the side "burners" are very handy when using our cast iron grill. Thank you for a great product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Installs easily and works great but only for certain sized pans. Installed stove 2 months ago. Stove works great but onlyif you have properly sized pots and pans. We purchased an expensive set of All-Clad pots and pans that are designed for induction tops, only to find out the smaller diameter sauce pans simply do not work on the stove top. So we now have an small sauce pan and skillet that came with the set, which are useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DIDN'T DO MY RESEARCH I bought this cooktop because I wanted 5 burners. I also wanted the burners to bridge to use my roaster and being able to bring water in 90 seconds was also a factor. No where in my research did it say that I would have to buy new cook wear. Finding Induction Ready cook wear where I live is not so easy. But with that being said, Im still glad I purchased it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good value, but... We are enjoying our induction cooktop, but at times there is a noise when heating that is odd. And our small pots will not work since they do not cover enough surface area of the burner to activate it, which is frustrating when you buy a large set of pots only to discover you are unable to utilize one of the frequently used sizes.
