KitchenAid KESS907SSS Reviews & Ratings

KESS907SSS Architect II Series 30" Wide 4.1 Cu. Ft. Oven Capacity Slide-In Electric Range, Even-Heat True Convection System, 4 Radiant Elements, Built-In Warming Drawer in Stainless Steel is rated 3.1818 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Range is a dream We did a Kitchen remodle, our previous range was 26 years old and was a mess. I wanted a range that was a sealed glass top with controls in the front. Simple enough request... very hard to find. KitchenAid has this range with convection oven and warming drawer. The architect series is a slide in range which mounts countertop level. It is a very clean design, the features are endless from the single to double burner options and the auto convection and the ability to lock out (child proof) the oven controls. If this feature could be added to the burners that would make this range perfect. it is very beautiful and cooks like a dream.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This stove has two very poor features. We recently purchased a Kitchen Aid slide in stove and are very disappointed with the oven. The oven fan has a high-pitched noise that is heard throughout the house. We've had two appliance technicians look at the oven. They both stated the fan does not need repair. They told us it is the design of the vent system that creates the loud, high-pitched noise. In addition, because the stove vents out the front of the stove, moisture builds up on the oven door handle. When the oven door is opened, moisture drips onto the floor. We are so unhappy with the loud noise the fan makes we are meeting with the local appliance store manager to have this stove replaced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love it We bought this Kitchen Aid Range when our old and out dated drop in gave out and we were unable to obtain parts. Our salesman was very informative and really sold this product. It was, for us, very expensive but we feel that you get what you pay for and if this range lasts as long as our other one then it is worth the money. We love this range. We have never used a convection oven or a glass top before. My husband has made several comments about having to clean the glass top daily but that's one less job for me. I would recomment this range to potential buyers.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not for me!!! I bought this stove 2 yrs ago (REALLY EXPENSIVE) thinking it would be fabulous. Not so. The burners do not heat quickly and the "high" setting comes on and goes off constantly so boiling food takes twice as long. CANNOT use a pressure cooker on this stove cooktop. Got a small chip in the right side of the cooktop about 1/8 of an inch and it started a spider crack that went across the entire surface and made a "large" crack once the heat was turned on and a piece 6"x4" just fell out of the cooktop!!!! Convection cooking not for me! and, I bake pies, muffins, turkeys and I hate the way it cooks. We paid so much and truly disappointed with this stove. Stay away. By the way, we did not drop anything at all on the stove just a small chip on the side. My last smoothtop lasted 10 years. This one -- 2 years!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look and performance. Looks great in my new kitchen and is easy to use and clean. Burners and oven heat fast and evenly. Looking forward to baking for the holidays. Thank goodness for the control lock as controls are easily pushed but no worry with the lock. The door is much lighter and easier to open than my old one which is easier to manage. Only negative so far is that the control labels are small and difficult to read but easy once you learn them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't go the distance. Purchased this about 2 1/2 years ago. First thing I noticed was you need to keep the directions book on hand because unless you use certain cooking features on a regular basis you won't remember how to use them. The different cooking features it has could be a bit different so when you look at the touch panel you can tell exactly what to do for each feature. Another problem I've had is when I clean the stove the ink wipes off the knobs. Now the left rear cooking element quit working yesterday. I placed a pot on there to melt butter, which it did. Then to reheat it I turned the element back on a bit later but it would not work. I feel that for the amount of money this is sold for I should not have any problems whatsoever until after the five year mark. So based on my experience Kitchenaid fell far short of my expectations. Will look for a different brand of stove.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a Good Range Overall I am pleased with this range. The variable settings for the burners makes cooking effortless. The oven bakes evenly and is easy to use. Complaints--the high-pitched sound of the oven fan takes some getting used to and we need to set the control lock on the oven control panel after each use so we do not accidentally turn anything on when bumping against it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very attractive We purchased this stove to be put into the new home we were building. It is very modern looking. We like the looks of the stove but the warming oven on the bottom is not what we expected. It is hard to reach for warm dishes that are practically sitting on the floor. We only saw a picture when we ordered the stove and probably would not have picked this model.

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.
How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covegrey.
How do I buy an Extended Service Plan?
Extended Service Plans can be purchased along with your product online, or via our toll free number.
Can I renew my Consumer Priority Service extended service plan?
Yes, service plans are renewable and must be submitted 30 days prior to the original plans expiration. Please contact a sales representative to discuss your renewal options.
What should I do if I need extended service?
Our extended service providers offer an easy to use interactive form online which you may use to request that they initiate a claim on your product. Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. We believe that our claim initiation request process is the absolute best our industry has to offer. It is designed for simplicity and speed.
Who will perform the service on my product?
Our company works with over 11,000 authorized service professionals. Each technician is extensively trained by the respective manufacturers to provide service on your products. Authorized technicians must complete annual and bi-annual continued education exams in addition to being well versed in manufacturer supplied update bulletins to ensure their level of expertise is as current as the new products which come to market. We urge our customers to provide feedback regarding their experiences which we later use to insure that the level of service we are expected to provide is exactly the level of service you receive.
May I transfer my extended service plan to another person?
Our service plans are 100% transferable. If you would like transfer ownership of the covegrey product along with its coverage, we require that the request be supplied in writing. For assistance please contact a Representative. Please have all of the new owner's information at hand when requesting a transfer.
Will I have to pay a deductible or any other "hidden costs"?
Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
When does my warranty start?
Depending on the type of coverage you own, an extended warranty begins at the conclusion of the shortest portion of the manufacturer’s warranty. If the manufacturer’s warranty was 90 day labor and 1 year parts, the extended warranty would begin on the 91st day and continue for the duration of the warranty period. All replacement, commercial and accidental plans begin on the date of purchase.
Why does my plan say "under $1000"?
Some plans carry a dollar value on them. This means that your product's purchase price, excluding tax, delivery and accessories is below the listed price on the contract. It's simply a classification based on the price of purchase of the product under warranty.
What does an accidental plan cover?
If you have added Accidental Coverage to your plan, this plan shall cover unintentional damages as a result of: impact, liquid damage or unintentional physical damage. Accidental Coverage does not cover intentional damages of any kind to the covered product or losses due to theft. Accidental Coverage does not cover willful damage, misuse, damage due to neglect, drops over 6 feet, fire damage or full immersion in water.

Accidental Coverage does not cover damage caused by the use of a product in a way the manufacturer never intended. Coverage for this plan shall begin 30 days after the date of purchase of the covered product.
Is my service plan worldwide?
All plans carry a worldwide option at no additional charge. Contact a sales professional for further details.
Who do I contact with further questions?
Please contact a sales professional at 1-800-299-9470.
