Therefore after selecting a GE Profile range, I went with the GE Profile microwave, even though it cost more than some others. It has an attractive appearance (especially in black where the window opening doesn't make it look like a large mouth bass). It has all the standard microwave features which seem intuitive to operate. One of the good looking features is that it does not have air vents showing in the front - and thus no eye level grill to try to keep clean! However, it has a panel that moves forward to vent the microwave upward. This seems to work well, but I always worry about an extra moving part that could break. Since it vents the air straight up, I am hoping that it doesn't affect the kitchen cabinet above it. This over the range microwave does its job. It cooks, vents, and lights.
