Have only had it for a week now, so no problems with the mold/smell issue, but do plan to install a papertowel rack in the garage. The chime is beautiful, but unless your laundry is close by, you will not hear it when laundry is done )I had to have a repair guy come and test it for me to make sure it was working(. Also be prepared to not see any water in this washer- it uses so little it just looks like damp clothes tumbling, but does seem to work, and with rising water costs, I think I will appreciate it.
