Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE my Brita This is actually my 2nd dispenser, I recklessly knocked the 1st one off the counter, and it shattered into pieces.(unfortunately) water was everywhere, but I yelled,,help come quick. Everyone came running, I said clean this up, I need to go get another one before the store closes! ~~true story~~ I didn't want to do with out my brita at all, we drink lots of water and it makes the difference, and saves $$$ on buying bottled water. I am thinking about getting another not only for a spare, but to use in cooking and coffee pot too. Just keep it on the counter maybe,,,but I don't know, it will probably end up in the frige too....:) <3

No more carrying heavy water bottles up the stairs & then having to recycle all. I truly can taste the difference and it makes me want to drink more water. I also give this filtered water to my pets as anything I can do to help them stay healthy is a plus. I spied on them as I placed two full bowls of water, one with tap, and one with Brita water, time & time again they would only drink out of the bowl with the filtered water...don't let ANYONE tell you they don't know the difference! Maybe Brita can get into the pet supply industry by creating drinking fountains for pets with Brita filters in them?!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, great, great!!! I bought an Ultramax just a few days ago and I LOVE IT!!! It's very easy to operate, just make sure you hand wash it about every week if you leave it outside. Fungus and mold like to grow in the inside of the dispenser. You can also leave it inside the refrigerator if you want nice cold water.The Indicator is great and if you've got the model without the digital indicator, it's great too, but it uses a sticker that reminds you. I bought our first dispenser in August 1995 when it was called the Optimax. We still use it today; it's just a little dirty.Still working like a charm for over 10 years!I highly reccoment this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cost alot less than bottled water!! I purchased this item back in 2004, used it for 1 year then stopped using it when we got a refrigerator with a water dispenser in it. We started using it again in 2010 when we got a different fridge without the water. I found this time the brita dispenser did not fit in my sink for easy refills so I had to fill it with a different pitcher...also, I found that there was alot of the carbon at the bottom of the dispenser long after the first couple of fills. Oh, and the filters have up quite a bit in price. Would like to see more coupons available for these products. All in all, I would recommend purchasing!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love having a brita. I have two different Brita's. This particular one is just a little too big for my fridge. I have to keep it on the counter, and I like my water cold, so I was a little disappointed on that aspect. However, the filtering system really does make my water taste great. I drink a lot of crystal light and I do not like taking tap water to make it. Pouring the tap water through the Brita first really does enhance the flavor of the crystal light making it more enjoyable for me. If I did not have my Brita, I wouldnt drink water because I cant stand the taste of the tap. I will never go without a Brita again.

I have had several Brita pitchers, and while I love the water quality of the filter system, I have never found them easy to fit into the fridge. I did away with a refrigerator with a water dispenser, much to the dismay of kids who love the ease of a door dispenser. The Brita dispenser model has solved that problem, and I love the way it fits so snugly on a shelf in the refrigerator. I think it is the best of all Brita's designs. The only drawback is that the white reservoir is a little difficult to get out of the pitcher to clean because it has such a tight fit, but otherwise I love the model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An investment in your health. If you have a large family like me, the ultramax is prefect. Its large capacity, easy to pour spout make it a great choice. Its simple to fill and one or two fills a day are more then enough for a family of 3-4. The best part of this product is the benefit it has on your health. My family drinks more water now that we have the Ultramax. You'll love the way you feel when your getting enough water in your diet. And we all feel better knowing we aren't filling landfills with disposable plastic water bottles any more. Over all this product is now and forever a staple of our home and our lives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product makes getting cold water in any quantity easy I have not been a heavy duty water drinker, but I know it is healthy to consume as much water as possible throughout day (take your weight in lbs, divide in half, then drink take that number and drink that many oz of water. Ex 150lbs = 75 oz of water daily). For me, the water need to be cold, so this container has been great for getting just a cold glass of water, a pitcher of water for dinner, or making iced tea. And when you have guests, it is easy to put the water in a pitcher and refill the larger container so more cold water will soon be readily available

What exactly is an Extended Service Plan?
An extended service plan is generally an extension of your original manufacturer's warranty. Most manufacturers warranty their products to be free from defects for up to one year from the date of purchase. This warranty virtually guarantees you that if your newly purchased product fails, the manufacturer will protect you from the high costs of replacement parts and labor necessary to repair your product. Extended service plans lengthen your product's coverage for up to an additional 60 months (5 years) to insure you get years of performance satisfaction from your newly purchased product.
How is this different than the manufacturer's warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty usually offers limited coverage for a limited time, with parts and labor carrying separate lengths of coverage. For example, a common manufacturer warranty of a product might cover a consumer for one full year on parts defects but only 90 days on the high cost of labor involved to change those parts. Extended service plans provide comprehensive, long term, even length coverage. This means that should your product fail within your plans coverage time frame, both parts and labor costs are covegrey.

Yes, service plans are renewable and must be submitted 30 days prior to the original plans expiration. Please contact a sales representative to discuss your renewal options.
What should I do if I need extended service?
Our extended service providers offer an easy to use interactive form online which you may use to request that they initiate a claim on your product. Your other alternative is to call the toll-free number on your extended warranty card or email and have a qualified representative make this request for you with the information you will provide. We believe that our claim initiation request process is the absolute best our industry has to offer. It is designed for simplicity and speed.
Who will perform the service on my product?
Our company works with over 11,000 authorized service professionals. Each technician is extensively trained by the respective manufacturers to provide service on your products. Authorized technicians must complete annual and bi-annual continued education exams in addition to being well versed in manufacturer supplied update bulletins to ensure their level of expertise is as current as the new products which come to market. Will I have to pay a deductible or any other "hidden costs"?
Generally, the amount of a deductible is almost always proportional to the amount of the premium charged. In order to have a lower deductible, even as low as $0, the plan holder would generally have to agree to a higher premium. For those who want lower premiums, they must agree to a higher deductible. Our extended service plans carry a $0.00 deductible along with low premiums. This means that with an extended service plan there are no high upfront costs and they are committed to cover 100% parts and labor costs on any authorized claim.
When does my warranty start?
Depending on the type of coverage you own, an extended warranty begins at the conclusion of the shortest portion of the manufacturer’s warranty. If the manufacturer’s warranty was 90 day labor and 1 year parts, the extended warranty would begin on the 91st day and continue for the duration of the warranty period. All replacement, commercial and accidental plans begin on the date of purchase.
Why does my plan say "under $1000"?
Some plans carry a dollar value on them. This means that your product's purchase price, excluding tax, delivery and accessories is below the listed price on the contract. It's simply a classification based on the price of purchase of the product under warranty.
What does an accidental plan cover?
If you have added Accidental Coverage to your plan, this plan shall cover unintentional damages as a result of: impact, liquid damage or unintentional physical damage. Accidental Coverage does not cover intentional damages of any kind to the covered product or losses due to theft. Accidental Coverage does not cover willful damage, misuse, damage due to neglect, drops over 6 feet, fire damage or full immersion in water.

Accidental Coverage does not cover damage caused by the use of a product in a way the manufacturer never intended. Coverage for this plan shall begin 30 days after the date of purchase of the covered product.
