The RNB484CBV1 48" freestanding gas range features four open burners, 24" charbroiler and a 4.5 cu. ft. convection oven. The burners come with one of three BTU rating, giving a total of two 22000 BTU burner, one 15000 BTU burner and one simmer burner. The charbroiler has a BTU rating of 30000 BTU. The oven can produce up to 30000 BTU while the convection system evenly distributes the heat, ensuring even cooking.

The BlueStar cast iron porcelain-enameled NOVA™ and ULTRANOVA™ top burners are the most versatile burners in theindustry. The Nova burner provides up to 15,000 BTUs of cooking power. For that extra boost, the ULTRANOVA™ delivers an amazing 22,000 BTUs; a rapid boil or superior sauté is never a problem! When using our gentle 130ºF simmer feature, delicate sauces and soups are made simple with superior temperature control and flame disbursement.

Convection Oven Cooking
The cavity design of the oven and the convection fan system result in the most complete exchange of air possible. This provides incredibly precise, even heat distribution. It has the largest oven capacity available on a 48" range and will accommodate a commercial-size 18" x 26" baking sheet and an 18" x 13" baking sheet for the smaller oven.

Infrared Broiler
Because of its popularity in the commercial market, the direct-fired ceramic infrared broiler is standard on all residential ranges. The large burner produces 1850ºF of intense, searing heat close to the burner, while effecting a gentler broiling for foods placed farther away. The broiler is fully recessed into the oven's top to create maximum cooking space.

Full Motion Grates
Bring sauce to a boil while stirring on a front burner, then slide it to the rear to simmer while you sauté up front! The full motion grates allow you to easily reposition pots and pans from front to rear burners without lifting. The grates are also oversized to accommodate the largest stock pots and sauté pans.

"I am absolutely loving my new 48" RNB BlueStar range! I first heard about Garland from Julia Child who told me she preferred her old Garland to any other stove. Then, when the 3rd electronic control panel in 2 years went out on my "brand x" gas range, Internet shopping research led from Garland to BlueStar. Luckily a local Appliance Dealer had a 48" RNB on display and live Demos were available in both San Francisco and Redwood City. Watching the superb open burner performance from simmer to sizzle, ease of drip tray clean- up, huge oven capacity and the fantastic Infrared broiler in action sealed the deal. I couldn't wait to get online from my car on the trip home and placed my order. Had a wonderful installer who followed BlueStar's manual exactly. He was very impressed with the quality of the range - said it was the finest he'd installed in 30 years of experience. Can't say enough about my BlueStar's performance: It's been in 3 days and I've slow-cooked Polenta, simmered both Bolognese and Bearnaise sauces, broiled steaks, baked a delicate custard rice pudding, and this morning baked Blueberry muffins with the largest crowns I've ever gotten. I look forward to many more perfect meals for my family which can range from 4-6 or 12-18 folks on a weekly basis.
